Student Symposiums
Extreme Risk Takers Symposium Series
The WSIA Education Foundation sponsors four Extreme Risk Takers Symposiums to educate students about the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines industry and internships and full-time opportunities offered by WSIA member firms. These events are geared towards students studying risk management and insurance, finance or business but are open to any student interested in learning more about the industry. Each symposium features a career fair, networking reception with professionals, and sessions on unique and emerging risks, enabling students to learn about this exciting and important segment of the insurance industry.
Symposium grants available
- Colleges with risk management and insurance programs less than five years in existence – click here for special grants to support students in attending these symposiums.
- If you attend an HBCU (Historically Black College or University) or HSI (Hispanic-Serving Institution) that does not offer a risk management and/or insurance program - grants are available to support attendance at a symposium. Click here for a link to the grant form.
