Guest Tour and Luncheon
Tuesday, February 26
9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. | U.S. Capitol Tour and Luncheon
(Tour will meet in the Gaylord Lobby at 9:15 a.m.)
This tour and luncheon are complimentary to all registered guests of registered delegates. Registered delegates can join the tour for an additional $200. If you would like to join the group, please contact Vicky Fleming, firstname.lastname@example.org, for details.
The guest program and luncheon is an off-site tour of Washington D.C. A private guide will meet you upon arrival at Capitol Hill and lead guests through the U.S. Capitol Building, home to the U.S. Congress and its two legislative bodies, the House of Representatives and Senate. Guests will tour the historic rooms of the Rotunda, Statuary Hall, the Crypt and the halls outside the House and Senate Chambers where the Congress meets and decisions are made. If the House or Senate is in session, the group may even have the opportunity to watch from the Gallery above. On this tour, the guide will discuss how Congress works, the history of the building's architecture, and how ordinary citizens participate in the process of our representative democracy.
After touring the inside of the Capitol, guests will venture outside for an overview of Capitol Hill and the surrounding area including the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, and congressional buildings. After the tour a luncheon has been planned in the D.C. area.
Please look out for an email invitation after you have registered your guest. Please provide the email address and mobile number of your guest during the registration process.
