WSIA offers a number of publications regarding the Association and the surplus lines industry. The WSIA News is published every other month and current and past issues are available. AM Best U.S. Surplus Lines - Segment Review
The annual financial review of the surplus lines industry has been prepared annually since 1994 by the AM Best Company, through a grant by the WSIA Education Foundation. The report provides results of solvency study of surplus lines industry and reviews current industry issues. The 2015 Executive Summary, 2016 Executive Summary, 2017 Executive Summary, 2018 Executive Summary and 2019 Executive Summary are available at no charge to the public. The complete 2019 report was e-mailed to WSIA members and is also available to members online or available to members by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The complete report may be purchased from AM Best.

Emerging Issues and Innovation Heat Map
The WSIA Heat Map is developed and published every two years by the committee. The most recent Heat Map was developed in early-2018. Members are surveyed to identify developing trends in the surplus lines industry and define their influence on business. The committee compiles the survey responses and from them develops the Heat Map, which identifies the predominant themes and is available to members.
WSIA incorporates the results into future planning for education program curriculum and topics, member webinars and research topics for RMI students.
